The Instructional designer (Mid-Level) transforms complex information into engaging, interactive, and accessible digital learning experiences that inspire learners and drive measurable outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with subject matter experts, multimedia designers, and project managers to design courses that are not only visually appealing but also grounded in sound instructional theory.
You will be competent in analysing learning needs and defining clear, measurable learning objectives for digital training programmes, designing and storyboarding eLearning modules, simulations, and blended learning solutions using instructional design best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse learning needs and define clear, measurable learning objectives for digital training programmes.
Design and storyboard eLearning modules, simulations, and blended learning solutions using instructional design best practices.
Develop content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, or Adobe Captivate.
Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organisational goals.
Apply accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
Integrate multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video, animations) to enhance learner engagement.
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure courses function flawlessly across devices and platforms.
Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, analytics, and assessment data, and recommend improvements.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy).
Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate).
Ability to translate technical or complex topics into clear, learner-friendly content.
Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
Skilled in creating assessments that measure both knowledge retention and skill application.
Experience of emerging learning technologies such as VR/AR or AI-driven learning tools.

Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or related field.
Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva).
Familiarity with video editing software (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro).
Exposure to gamification techniques and microlearning strategies.
Certification in instructional design or eLearning development (e.g., ATD, CIPD).
